Programming to the receiving vehicle's VIN is required and must be performed by a Chrysler/Jeep dealer or qualified automotive locksmith before the module will operate correctly. This OEM Wireless Control Module (WCM) / Immobilizer fits the 2007–2008 Jeep Wrangler, 2007–2008 Dodge Nitro, and 2008 Jeep Liberty (part number 05026071, interchange 68209837AA). Note that VIN programming by a dealer or locksmith is required before installation — the module will not function until it is paired to your vehicle.

This module checks the chip in your key and lets the engine controller know it's good before the engine fires. When it stops authorizing keys, you get cranking with no start, and the theft or security lamp stays on. Used OEM module. Part numbers: 05026071, interchange 68209837AA. Fits 2007–2008 Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Nitro; 2008 Jeep Liberty. This unit requires programming to your vehicle after installation. Check your old module's tag against those numbers before ordering.
