It receives radio signal for your factory audio system — AM/FM at minimum, and on many vehicles satellite radio, GPS, or connected-services signal as well. OEM assemblies come in several styles — fixed mast, powered mast, shark-fin ("sharkfin"), and amplified base — matched to the body and the audio package.

Poor or no radio reception, constant static, or loss of satellite radio and connected features. Physical damage is common too — a snapped mast, a cracked base, or water getting past a failed seal. If only certain bands are weak, the amplifier or a specific antenna element may be the cause.

Not always. Antenna type varies by trim and by the radio/antenna package even within one year, make, and model — the base model and the upgraded-audio trim often use different assemblies. Match the OEM part number or send us your VIN so we can confirm the exact base, connector, and gasket for your build.

OEM assemblies fit the body contour exactly, use the correct connector, and seal properly against water — universal aftermarket antennas rarely match the mounting or the amplifier tuning. Every OEM antenna we sell is inspected and tested for functionality before listing.

A single vehicle line can have multiple antenna assemblies — sometimes three or four — depending on the radio package, satellite radio option, and trim level. Base trims often use a simple fixed mast; higher trims with premium audio or satellite radio use different antenna assemblies tuned to those frequencies; some platforms add separate antennas for navigation, telematics, or remote start.

What looks like a "Ford F-150 antenna" on paper might mean half a dozen different parts in practice. The fitment family identifies your vehicle's year/make/model; the variant lives in your VIN.

Three options, in order of confidence:

1. Match the part number. If your old antenna or its base has a part number stamped or labeled, compare it to the OEM Part Number on the listing. Exact match means exact fit.
2. Send your VIN with your radio package details. If you don't have a part number, your VIN plus what radio features your vehicle has (basic AM/FM, satellite radio, premium audio, etc.) lets Hubes look up the correct antenna for your specific build.
3. Photo of your existing antenna assembly. When in doubt, a photo of what's on your vehicle (especially the base/mounting hardware) can clarify which variant you need.

Antenna fitment is one of the categories where assumption bites you. When uncertain, send the VIN.

Used antennas ship in the condition shown in the listing photos. Every unit is sourced from a documented vehicle and tested for proper signal continuity before listing.

What gets pulled at intake:

• Bent or broken masts
• Cracked or water-damaged base assemblies
• Open-circuit cables (no signal continuity)
• Damaged mounting hardware
• Power antennas with non-functional motors (where applicable)

What gets sold:

• Antennas with intact masts and clean bases
• Cables that test clean for continuity
• Power antennas that extend and retract on command
