It receives radio signal for your factory audio system — AM/FM at minimum, and on many vehicles satellite radio, GPS, or connected-services signal as well. OEM assemblies come in several styles — fixed mast, powered mast, shark-fin ("sharkfin"), and amplified base — matched to the body and the audio package.

Poor or no radio reception, constant static, or loss of satellite radio and connected features. Physical damage is common too — a snapped mast, a cracked base, or water getting past a failed seal. If only certain bands are weak, the amplifier or a specific antenna element may be the cause.

Not always. Antenna type varies by trim and by the radio/antenna package even within one year, make, and model — the base model and the upgraded-audio trim often use different assemblies. Match the OEM part number or send us your VIN so we can confirm the exact base, connector, and gasket for your build.

OEM assemblies fit the body contour exactly, use the correct connector, and seal properly against water — universal aftermarket antennas rarely match the mounting or the amplifier tuning. Every OEM antenna we sell is inspected and tested for functionality before listing.
