Genuine OEM PATS Anti-Theft Transceiver Ring 2S6T-15607-BC (2S6T15607BC) for the 2002-2007 Ford. Direct-fit replacement.

From the shop

The SKIM module on the '02–'07 Mustang handles key recognition and fuel pump enable — when it fails, the car cranks but won't start, and the theft light stays on. This one is OEM tested and ready to go. You'll need your dealer or a qualified locksmith to program it to your existing keys, a process that takes about 20 minutes. Part number 2S6T15607BC is the direct fit for your generation. — Hubes

Here are the real signs the paths or passive anti-theft system in your late 90's early 2000's forward vehicle is failing. Number one, intermittent no start. You turn the key, the dash lights up, but the engine won't crank or it fires for a second and it dies. Number two, flashing security light. If that red light is blinking fast on your dash when you try to start it, that usually means the chip inside the key is not talking to the receiver ring around your ignition. Number three, start sometimes dead the others. That's normally the little ring that goes around your ignition also known as a transceiver going bad. Number four, you get a new key and that won't program. If it's a fresh key and it refuses to learn the issues, usually the paths reader or the security module, not the key itself. So if you're seeing any of these symptoms on your Ford vehicle from late 90's to early 2000's, check the paths key reader before checking anything else. I do keep verified OEM transceivers in stock.
