This OEM PassKey anti-theft module fits the 2006–2016 Chevrolet Impala (part number 15835611, with multiple interchange numbers available). The immobilizer validates the ignition key and authorizes engine start — and because it is security-coded, it must be re-programmed to your VIN by a dealer or locksmith after installation.

The SKIM module handles immobilizer and anti-theft functions on the Impala — when it fails, the car won't recognize the key and won't start, even though the engine cranks. This is an OEM unit that will require re-programming to your VIN by a dealer or locksmith before it'll communicate with your existing keys. That's a 20-minute job at most shops.
