From the shop

This unit takes wheel-speed signals and tells the hydraulic unit how much brake pressure each corner needs, so the vehicle doesn't lock up under hard braking. When it goes bad, the ABS light stays lit and that individual-wheel control is gone — you'll still stop, just without the anti-lock function working behind the scenes. Tested and functional. Connector pins intact. Cleaned exterior. Mounts front. This unit requires programming to your vehicle after installation. Part number: BE5C-2C405-AB. Fits 2010–2012 Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ; 2010–2011 Mercury Milan. Ships same day Mon–Fri if you order before 3pm EST. — Hubes

Please note: CD338-platform ABS, 2010-2012. Hollander splits this family into five configurations by engine and drivetrain (2.5L hybrid, 2.5L FWD, 3.0L FWD, 3.0L AWD, 3.5L) — units are NOT interchangeable across configurations: match the part number on your unit label. Ford services the control module (2C219 base) separately from the hydraulic unit (2C346 base).

Symptoms of a bad ABS module and how to tell if your brake computer is going bad. After 30 years in OEM auto parts, I see people misdiagnose this all the time. If your ABS light just popped on, the first thing to know is your car will stop, but you've lost your anti-like brake function, stability control, and traction control. So how do you know it's your module? You'll get the trifecta warning lights many times, which is stability, traction, ABS, all hitting at the same time. Your brake pedal might feel unusually firm under hard braking, and the speedometer could be a static or drop out due to wheel speed data loss. Module versus sensor. To know for sure, plug in a scan tool. If you pull a single wheel speed sensor code, it's just a cheap sensor. But if you pull internal chassis C codes like pump motor circuit or valve relay, that means the electronic brain inside your modules essentially cook. Do not buy a cheap aftermarket gamble. Hit the link in my bio, shoot me your make model in year or your VIN number and your trouble codes and we'll diagnose your problem right here. from cubes of HQ.
