SKIM stands for Sentry Key Immobilizer Module — on these Dodge platforms it's the piece that decides whether your key is allowed to start the vehicle. When it goes bad, the engine cranks but won't fire, or the theft light won't quit flashing even with the right key in hand. This is a used OEM module, part number P56045275AB (also crosses to 56045275AC), and it will need re-programming to your VIN by a dealer or locksmith before it'll run your vehicle.
