Symptoms of a bad skim or scream on your Dodge Chrysler Jeep vehicle. If your vehicle is experiencing a crank no start or a start install issue, listen up. Chrysler's Century Key Emobilizer Module or SKIM is infamous for locking you out. Symptom 1, the engine starts. The engine runs for exactly two seconds, then dies. Symptom 2, a flashing round security light or a crossed out key symbol illuminated on your dashboard. Symptom 3, a crank no start, accompanied by fault code P06, 3, 3, meaning skim key not detected. If your key transponder isn't communicating with the transceiver ring, your engine computer will automatically shut fuel delivery down. Do not replace that PCM just yet.
